Gigantic Entertainment Center and a lot more

We currently have an custom order for a 7' long entertainment center. That is REALLY long... most are around 5'. We just have to add extra support to the base. The case will be made of plywood, trimmed with walnut, with a sliding walnut door and painted a bluish/green. Stay tuned for that. The base will also be walnut, to match the trim and door. It's gonna be really cool. Right now, we're making the case and adding trim.

Transporting plywood and walnut for the entertainment center. The 2x4s on the bed rails of the truck are a great way to carry a lot of plywood in a small truck. Just have to be careful and strap them down really tight. There is a slight danger of them going through the rear window if we stop really suddenly. I've heard of it happening before...

Beginning the clamping process. Sorry there aren't very many pictures of the glueup. We were exhausted at the end and wanted to go home.

Basic structure is all glued up. Check out the size of that thing! 

Gluing walnut trim. This part is pretty easy. Cut and prep the trim so that its the perfect size, and then just glue it on! We used a few pin nails to hold the trim in place while clamping.

Stapling jute webbing to make a new seat for this old chair.

Finish sanding a monkeypod stool using a air-powered detailed sander.

Monkeypod meditation stool all finished with lacquer on the left, and then a plethora of medium sized meditation stool bases. This is what the pine looks like before its stained. On the right, we've got another monkeypod meditation bench that hasn't been lacquered yet. Kristina is holding some of our newly made wave artwork. She really loves that piece; its taking effort to convince her not to keep it for our apartment.

Hanging this piece until I figure out what to do with it. Honestly, I'm happy if it hangs here forever because I love looking at it. I'd sell it though.

Here's our showroom! We were about to go deliver a desk to a family in Kailua, but I paused for a picture because the showroom looked so good in the early evening light.
